I light my fire, the one I can control. I can't help but glance toward Selena to see if she will stop me, but she doesn't and is watching me do this without even looking surprised. I guess she is not against experimenting a little... I bring the fire close to my wrist. As usual, the red, pinkish flames are hot, but it's bearable. Nothing like a real fire I could burn myself with. I bring it against my wrist, applying it to my injury as much as I can, though it feels a bit odd. Holy crap... I feel that warmth spread throughout my wrist and the pain lessens. This is awesome, I'm really healing myself! I chuckle, excited. I wait until the pain is completely gone, and make my fire disappear. I try to move my arm around.

"Boo, that's awesome!" squeals Kelsi.

I nod, feeling a bit proud. This is completely unexpected, but it's nice to also discover I'm not just good at destroying things! I can actually heal myself too. Selena smiles, finally giving me something other than a glare.

"That's one witch power you can use. However, don't try it on others until we are sure you won't burn them."

She's right, I don't want to risk burning anyone. Still, that is pretty awesome.

"Alright, you ready, little witch?"

I don't like the nickname, but Selena is already back in her fighting stance, and I'm guessing I don't have time to protest. I feel her aura grow bigger. Crap, is she going to fight me for real? I try to find a fighting position, but let's face it, I have no idea what to do and I am just mimicking her.

How can I fight a Luna? I'm just going to get a beating!

"Try to go easy on her, babe," says Daniel. "She isn't a werewolf..."

Selena snickers and I think she is about to answer him but suddenly, her fist comes right for my stomach. I take the hit, hard. It hurts... I fall back, out of breath. What the heck, she didn't even give me a go signal or anything!

"Get up."

I can't help glaring at her, but I still get up. As if I'm going to let her beat me without doing anything! I light that fire in my hands. She must expect that much, right? However, I'm still a bit afraid I will hurt her. I see Ben pulling Kelsi back and away from me and Selena. He's probably just making sure she won't get hurt by accident. Like, get a burn or a bite...

The next second, Selena moves again, but this time, I'm ready. I try to predict her move, but she shifts her position at the last minute, so fast I can't react, and I get a furious kick. I groan, but I manage to absorb most of the shock by curving my arm and turning. This time, I saw it coming, but I couldn't move fast enough. How the hell is she so fast? Her moves are a mix of martial arts and boxing, it's fluid yet unpredictable! How can I fight that when I'm a complete novice?

"Hold your ground," warns Ben.

I raise my arm, just in time to protect my shoulder from a new kick. I'm sent flying across the dance floor, but this one isn't as painful. I jump back on my feet before she resumes her attack. Selena isn't done with me, but she left me enough time to get up and ready before she runs toward me, a devilish smile on her lips. I squint my eyes, trying to predict her next move. I block one of her punches just in time, but she sends the other one flying right into my jaw. I feel the pain resonate throughout my skull, and I spit some blood.

"Come on, Mara!" Kelsi shouts to encourage me.

I nod and light my fire in both hands. She wants a fight? She's going to get one! Selena smirks, not impressed by my fire. I don't care, this woman asked for it! I get closer, and this time, she's the one to retreat. I need to win this, or else I'm going back to the hospital! I can't send the flames away, but I can hurt her if she approaches me again!

...Or so I thought. I miscalculated that my fire was contained to my hands, while Selena could hit my whole body. Indeed, she quickly approaches me, and I raise my hands, ready to block a hit with my flames, but she suddenly disappears. What the–

Her leg suddenly swipes me off my feet, and I fall on my butt, my flames disappearing right away as I lose focus.

"Interesting... It looks like you need to concentrate some more, little witch."

"Stop calling me that!" I protest, jumping back on my feet and lighting them again.

This time, my butt hurts and I'm really annoyed! I decide to take the initiative and step forward, pushing my hands and flames forward like some fireball. Selena jumps back to avoid me, but I'm still aiming for her. I follow her, trying to focus on my fire at the same time.

"Come on, little witch, I don't have all day," she chuckles.

Is she doing this on purpose to annoy me? I frown and take a deep breath. Then, I expand my arms, close my eyes, and grow my fire all of a sudden. I can feel this energy burning inside, begging to be used. I expand my flames wider and out of my hands, until they almost reach my shoulders. My arms are on fire, and I see Ben, Kelsi, and Daniel step farther away, leaving a large circle around me. Selena whistles.

"Now we are getting serious. Come on, come get me!"

If she wants to play, I can play! I run forward, ready to use my fist. I'm locked in on her position, aiming at her no matter what. She dodges my first move, but the second one catches a strand of her hair before she retreats. I almost got her!

Kill that Luna!

I jump back, surprised by the voice. No, no, leave me alone! I ignore it and try to focus on Selena. She squints her eyes. She knows something happened, but she won't ask. I'm somewhat glad she doesn't, but this fight isn't over. I need to get ready as her next attack doesn't wait. I barely see her fist coming and try to block it with my arm.

"Too slow."

Just as she says that, she suddenly spins and changes her position, hitting my back instead of my arm. I'm pushed forward, in a stupid stumble, and I end up on all fours, my fire gone again. Oh, for fuck's sake...
