Page 40 of Coveted By The Bear
“Holy fuck!”
He was beautiful. Enormous. His dark brown fur was thick and glossy, but I noticed there were scars along his back and legs.
Miles had told me was a Soldier for his former clan. A fighter. And here was the proof.
My gaze found his, and I gasped. I’d never seen a bear with blue eyes. But I knew those eyes. I knew him.
My mate.
My love.
My Miles.
He walked slowly towards me, bumping his big blockhead against my stomach.
“Hi, Bear,” I whispered reverently, reaching out to touch his enormous mass of fur.
It was thick. Coarser than it looked.
Beautiful.
Tears rolled down my cheeks as I petted and praised him. Bear nuzzled my palm, licking my skin and making me giggle.
This was real magic. And it made me ache that something like this even existed, that it was mine to have, and hold rendered me speechless.
I cried harder.
Before I knew it, Miles was human again and holding me to him.
“Shhh. Baby, please don’t cry. I’m sorry. Did I scare you?”
I shook my head and cleared my throat, wiping at my tears.
“No, you did nothing wrong. It’s just, this is amazing,” I whispered, tipping my head back.
“You’re amazing,” he corrected me and dropped a kiss on my temple.
“Miles,” I murmured his name and tilted my face towards his.
Kissing Miles was my newest addiction. I just couldn’t get enough.
“Neighbor just pulled into his driveway. Let’s go inside, mate,” Miles rumbled against my lips.
I nodded my head.
Hell, I couldn't wait to get inside and to have him inside me.
“It’s like a fever,” I moaned when he backed me up against the wall in the kitchen.
“Need you,” he said, lifting me higher and pushing my dress up around my hips.
“Yes, please.”
“Slide your panties to the side, Pretty Girl. Let me feel how wet you are,” he growled.
“I’m so wet,” I said, moaning when I felt his broad head at my slick entrance.
“Love you, Hope,” he growled against my throat, and I smiled.
