“I’m fine,” I smile, taking the soup he hands me and eating slowly.

“I’m glad.” He places a hand on the corner of my mouth where my cut is, sighing prior to standing and steps away, and I’m surprised when, just like Lawrence, there isn’t an ounce of jealousy laced in their eyes… only concern for my well-being.

“Thank you,” I beam.Happy to have them in my life.He nods before going back over to the door to stand next to Fabian while I finish my soup and continue reading my book before I feel my peaceful world going pitch black…

The sound of typing wakes me up, but I’m startled to find myself in Sir’s arms.

“You’re up, Princess?” he kisses the top of my head.

“Yeah,” I yawn. “Did you pack me down here again?”

“Of course I did… I missed you,” he grumbles adorably.

“Well, I missed you too, Sir.”

“I’m glad, Princess, but get some more rest. I’ll be done with this soon,” he coos and cradles me in his arms as he moves a document out of the way. I sneak a peek at it and my heart skips a beat when I see “Divorce Settlement” writtenin bold letters on it.

“No, it’s okay. I’ve rested enough. I’ll just sit quietly while you work.” I snuggle in his arms, and he lays those gorgeous eyes on me, stealing my breath away. Even though I know I can’t and do not have the physical capacity to have sex right now, I still feel myself grow wet for him.

“Here, I brought your book down in case you wo—” The door that was only semi-cracked after Fabian shut it bangs open with a loud thud, shocking all of us. I don’t get to see who it is because Sir grabs the coat sitting behind him and throws it over my naked body, shielding me.

“DADDY!”What?A familiar chubby-faced, adorable little girl shouts with her hands on her tiny waist, looking proud and very pleased with herself. She stands at the door, and Sir’s eyes widen in a comedic way while I secure the coat over my nude form so as not to flash an innocent child. What in the hell is happening here?

I look to Sir for an explanation but he seems just as befuddled as me.

“Lilian! Darling.” He holds me tight, further securing the coat and handing me over to Fabian in advance before stepping over to his child and hugging her tight. His gentle tone and softened features despite the situation show how much he cares for her. “Wh-what are you doing here?” he asks stupefied, voice sounding more polished and English, completely throwing me off.

“Well, didn’t you say you missed us?!” She points to her father, beaming prettily.

“Ay… I mean yes, of course I did, but I…” The sound of heels clacking against the floor ominously has me sitting up and Sir glaring when a beautiful, Barbie-looking woman steps into the doorway dressed impeccably. I recognize her since I’ve seen her more than a few times with blurred lines over her breasts. Innocently, she holds a cute and little boy on her hip, sucking his thumb, rocking gently on her chest.

“Hunny, we’re here because, as Lilian statedMylove, we missed you just as much as you missed us.” She kisses the little boy’s cheek, setting him down and patting his little bottom. “Go say hello to your father, Robert,” she coos and he runs on stubby legs.

“Herrow, dada!” he hugs his father and watching Sir return it in kind with genuine love warms my heart.

“Hello, Robert,” he smiles and kisses the top on his head.

“And what about me, darling? Where is your hug for yourwife?” she sneers.

“Idina!” Sir growls, jaw clenched and a vein I’d never seen prior to today pops out of his neck and forehead. He stands and puts the children behind him, and Lawrence quickly takes their hand.Goodness…“What is the meaning of this? I thought we agreed that I’d pick up the children when I leave.”

“Hunny, why do you sound so upset? I only did you a favor by bringing them toourFrench villa. I thought we could spend some time together as afamilyin the meantime,” she purrs, going over to him, but as she tries to hug Sir, he steps back quickly.

“Do not fuck with me, Idina,” he fists his hands and Idina gasps sheepishly.

“Dear! Language! Nonetheless, I’ll forgive your transgression since you seem to have perhaps picked up bad habits from associating with trash.” Her eyes finally land on me and I cock my head to the side, surprised.Trash…I’ve been called many ofthings, but trash is far from one. I will let this one slide since Iamsleeping with her husband. However, she won’t get another.

“IDINA, I’ve tried to remain amicable considering you’re the mother of my children butDO NOTcross the line again… understood?” Sir’s voice booms, causing even the children to jump and Idina to narrow her eyes bitterly. “Take them out of here. I need to speak with this…woman,” he spews with repugnance and honestly, I’m rather happy that Fabian goes to carry me out.

Despite how much I love Sir and want to be with him, this isnotmy fight to fight. I have never and will never fight over a man. My dad always instilled the value that certain things are beneath me, and I stand true to that. Since I feel guilty about sleeping with a married man, I will not try to justify my actions, but I’m not going to sit idly by and be disrespected when she’s just as guilty of cheating as Sir.

After Lawrence carries the children from the room, Fabian carries me following behind them. I make sure to not even look her way since my classy ass wants no parts of this, plus I believe with all my heart that Sir is more than capable of handling this woman.

As I pass by her, she ignores me in kind, though her eyes flash with envy and hatred when she sees my engagement ring. A scowl forms on her pink lips as our eyes meet for the first time.

“Leaving so soon? I guess even whores have some shame,” she laughs and I don’t think evenIwas prepared to leap from Fabian’s arms or for my hand to reach out and wrap around her hair. I yank her to me, and my fist connects with her face.

I have gotten into many fights in my life with girls and women being jealous of the fact that I’m rich and pretty and their boyfriends liking me. As I stated, I have never fought for a man… not once in my life, but a pet peeve of mine is being called out of my name by catty women who know nothing about me.
