By seven that morning, he’d finished treating all the leather, cleaning the furniture, and making sure everything in the room was clean and in tip-top shape. After locking the door, he went into the kitchen. Cole stopped in his tracks when he saw Janie at the stove.

“Good morning.” He kept his tone cheerful. “You’re up early.” His gaze wandered over her body. What the hell was she wearing? He could almost see her ass in those short shorts and her top ... hell, little was left to the imagination. Her breasts strained to escape and ... when had they grown so large? His mouth went dry.

“I woke early.” She smiled at him over her shoulder, then returned her attention to what she was cooking. “Do you want some eggs and bacon?”

“Sure.” He crossed over to the counter and poured himself a cup of coffee to distract him from his thoughts. He sipped it carefully. Strong and hot, just how he liked it. “Can I help?”

“Nope. Sit down and relax.”

Relax?Yeah, right. He’d worked through the night and finally coaxed his dick into behaving itself; now it was hard and throbbed with need. At least sitting would help mask his condition, because the pair of sweats he wore didn’t hide much.

Within minutes, Janie set a plate of eggs, bacon, and toast in front of him, then took a seat with her own plate of food. He picked up his fork and dug in. He hadn’t realized he was hungry until just that moment. The food was delicious.

“Where did you learn to cook like this?”

She let out a small laugh, and it traveled through his veins like lightening. “The time I spent with Alicia and her foster family. Her mom loves to cook and showed me how.”

He nodded. Alicia was Janie’s best friend, and he’d been glad she had someone during her college time so she wouldn’t be all alone. “How is Alicia doing?”

“Fine. She’ll be done in Mexico in a few weeks.”

“That’s right.” He polished off his food and picked up his coffee cup, relieved to be managing a normal conversation with her. “So, what are you up to today?”

“I’m going to head over to Lake City and check out the club there.”

He choked and coffee dribbled out of his mouth. Janie stood, but he waved her back into her chair. He wiped the coffee from his chin. “Like hell you are going there.” The words were raspy as he fought to get his breath back.

“I’m a legal adult.”

He set his coffee cup down with a thunk. “Janie.”

“Don’t Janie me.” She stood and carried her plate and mug to the sink. “I can do whatever I want.”

“Maybe tying you up is a good idea,” he muttered, watching her march out of the room. He wasn’t going to let her do this. Standing, he followed her and seconds later strode into her bedroom. “You really don’t want to do this,” he said, leaning against the door jamb.

“I don’t?” She put her hand on her hip and glared at him.

His cock jumped, and he willed his lust to subside. He glanced around the room to bring his unruly libido under control, then ... “What the hell is that?” He pointed to her nightstand. It couldn’t be what it looked like.

“Oh, my BOB.” She picked it up and carried it into the bathroom.

“You named your vibrator?”

“Seriously, Cole.” The sound of a drawer opening, then water running and the drawer closing reached his ears before Janie reemerged. At least she had learned how to clean her vibrator; that was a plus in his book. “Haven’t you heard the expression Battery Operated Boyfriend? BOB for short.” She made her way to the nightstand and put her vibrator away.

“I have, but why do you have one?” He rubbed the back of his neck. What had happened to the sweet little innocent Janie he knew?

She burst out laughing. “Oh, my God, Cole.” She gasped for air. “I can’t believe you just asked me that. Use your imagination on why I have it.”

He frowned. “You don’t need adult toys.”

“My fingers do get tired after a while.”

Cole opened his mouth and then shut it. When had he lost control of the conversation? Hell, he was never out of control like this, and he didn’t like it. “When did you buy the vibrator?”

“This one, a few months ago.”

“This one?” She’d had more than one?
