I pull my gaze from his chest, only to meet Bash’s knowing look. Dammit.

“Miss me, Princess?”

I cross my arms, fully aware I must look like a child. “Never.”

My heart beats faster in my chest with each of his prowling steps. He hums in the back of his throat as he guides my face to meet his. “You know, lying to yourself is a bad habit.”

I growl low in my throat, shoving him back, furious at my traitorous body for responding to him. I will go to my grave before I admit I’m actually a little excited to see him. “There’s medicine for your level of delusion.”

He rocks back on his heels. “You’re feisty today, and here I am, bringing you presents.”

That’s when I notice the black shopping bag he’s holding in his left hand. My brow rises in question.

“Ask nicely and I’ll tell you.”

“Screw you.” I can’t deny the curiosity is killing me, but there’s no way I’m giving in to that.

“That’s the spirit.”

Gah, this man. “Just give it to me.”

He bites his lip, holding back his smirk, but doesn’t hand it over.

Life in prison may actually be worth murdering him. “Please give me the bag.”

“That’s a good girl.” His voice rolls off the words, sending a pulse directly to my core. Please, God, don’t let me have a praise kink. He lifts the bag between us, and I snatch it from him.

I’m rifling through the bag, so I don’t notice his approach until he’s tugging at the hem of the oversized sweater I’m wearing. His tongue scrapes across his teeth. “You look good in my clothes, Stasia.”

My hand pauses midway through pulling out the item as I remember why I’m wearing it in the first place. “Bash, where are my clothes?”

He tilts his head. “In your room.”

“In my room?” I’ve searched the entire place, and I didn’t find a single closet with my things in it.

“Exactly.”

I poke my index finger into his chest. “No, not exactly. Where’s my room, Sebastian?”

“Ooh, full name.” He pretends to shiver. “The one you stayed in last night, Anastasia.”

My mouth snaps shut, and my legs press together at the way he curls my name.

“We’refakedating, remember? Remember?”

“You forgot something crucial.” He wraps his hand around the back of my neck before bringing his mouth to mine. I struggle to pull back, but he holds me in place, using his tongue to split my mouth open as he devours me. He tastes sweet, like mint, and I can’t help but want more. It’s me who deepens the kiss, rising on my toes to get closer. His smile’s lascivious when he pulls away. “I licked you, so you’re mine.”

“I am not?—”

He cuts me off, letting me go. “Open your present.”

It’s too tempting to resist, and I remove the first piece. It’s a baseball cap with the wordsIndustry Services. I scrunch my nose at it.

Bash takes it from me and places it on my head. “Keep going.”

I grab the next item. A pair of thick-framed glasses.

He slides them onto my face. “You look cute.”
