Page 9 of Are You Gonna Run?
“Gonna head back closer to home, probably about ten minutes from your house.”
He gives me that flirty ass smile again, making me squirm in my seat.
I distract myself with more games, Reese’s, peach rings, and about half that bottle of water, but nothing seems to take the edge off. There’s tension in the air between us — every time he reaches to take my hand, grips my thigh, or even looks at me, I swear I get a little wetter. All rules aside, I need to fuck this man or I might go insane.
Once we’re back in town, I pay attention to the turns he’s taking to figure out where we’re going. Every time I think I have an idea, he proves me wrong. We’re heading to the outskirts now where there isn’t anything but abandoned churches and farm houses, so I’m truly lost right up until he stops the truck.
At the entrance to a graveyard.
“That haunted house didn’t scare you at all, but here...” he points at the gate and turns toward me slightly. “I think we can remedy that.”
So this is where he’s gonna kill me, then. Fitting.
Swallowing, I wrap my hand tightly around my seat belt. “Can you explain a little bit?”
“We got interrupted back there and I want to finish it. But I thought we couldadd a little hunting into the mix first so I can work for my prize. All you have to say is no and we’ll leave right now, but if you’re down to try something with me... I’d like to chase you through this cemetery before I fuck the hell out of you. Are you gonna run?”
I’ve never done anything like this and he’s a complete stranger to me. The fear will be real, I think. And this is also seriously dangerous. But if he wants to kill me, he’s gonna kill me either way.
I might as well have fun first.
Popping my seat belt, I wink at him then open my door and try to slide out, falling straight to the ground and ripping the knees out of my tights. It’s enough to make my heart rate spike. His door slams as I scramble to my feet and race to the gate to open it, barely squeezing through before I feel his fingertips against my back.
Faster, Rowyn. Faster.
Hide.
His laugh slowly fades away as I duck behind a giant headstone, but I keep moving until all I hear is the crunch of leaves under my boots and the pounding of my own heart.
“Marco,” he calls tauntingly, sending a chill up my spine that has nothing to do with the cool night air.
How far will he take this?
How far will I?
“Go away!” I yell, half so he’ll know where to look and half so he’ll actually listen. Maybe we should’ve picked a safe word first.
I take off again when I hear him coming closer, darting past a huge cedar tree all the way around a mausoleum and then ducking inside of it, hoping he didn’t see me.
But now I’m trapped with a huge stone coffin and there’s a shadow approaching the opening. The damned door didn’t shut all the way.
“There you are.” His voice is deeper in this setting, menacing almost as he closes the distance between us, and this time when I glance down I see a much bigger tent in the front of his jeans.
Chasing me turned him on as much as it did me, and now it’s time to find out the truth. Is he just sinfully hot, or the one who will end my life?
“Eris, please,” I rush out, backing up until my knees hit the coffin. “Please.”
“Please,” he repeats slowly, like he’s saying the word just so he can taste it. “Please what?”
His head tilts, and I know this is my chance to ask him to take me home. I can end this. I should end this.
“Please fuck me.”
My words snap something in him. I see a wild glint in his eyes as he lunges for me with a growl, his hand grabbing my throat hard enough to knock the air out of me.
But instead of pain all I feel is pleasure as his mouth crashes into mine. I can still taste the chocolate on his tongue as he slides it into my mouth, hands working furiously to rid me of my leather jacket and jean shorts. Pushing me back onto the coffin, he slides them off me and immediately drops down to bite my pussy through my fishnets.
Holy shit, I don’t care if he kills me. As I hook my legs around him, he rips my fishnets and pushes my panties to the side.
