Travis rubbed his hands up and down her arms. “You’re a good friend. We’ll be here for her no matter what.”
Bella nodded. “I know. Everything will be fine. It just seems weird to be so conflicted about a wedding.”
Travis shrugged. “She doesn’t seem conflicted.”
“You’re right. It’s her wedding. I should stay out of it.”
Travis kissed her forehead. “I love that you care.”
“I loveyou. I wasn’t conflicted about our wedding.”
“I would hope not,” he whispered against the shell of her ear.
Nope. Not conflicted at all. After making one bad decision after another in her teens and young adult life, things were finally turning in the right direction. God, friends, Travis, a new town, a new home.
She’d found more than just a home in Blackwater. She found happiness and hope, and this was only the beginning.
