“Doesn’t matter. You were really fucking sexy before. Knowing my baby is growing inside you makes you even sexier. When will your stomach get big? That’s going to be incredible.”

“You’re ridiculous,” I giggle, watching in amusement as he whips his clothes off in seconds.

“Maybe. But I can’t help it. I’m happy.”

I strip down and lay back down on the bed.

“Are you happy, Chloe?”

“Yes.” It’s the first thing that comes to mind. “I am.”

“When will you have it?”

“Huh?”

“Like, how long do you think you’ve been pregnant? That first night like we thought?”

“Well, since I didn’t get my period last month, and we waited to take a test, then yes. I’m probably eight or nine weeks pregnant.”

The smile that takes over his face is panty melting.

“You know earlier when I said I was falling in love with you?”

“Yeah?” I hold my breath, anticipating his next words.

“I was wrong. I’ve fallen. And not just because we’re having a baby together. It’s everything about you, Chloe. You’re it for me, and I love you.”

“I love you.”

I was wrong earlier. This is the smile that is everything. Not just panty melting. Heart stopping. Butterfly farm in my stomach exploding. Ev-er-y-thing. “As much as I want to make this last all day, we’ve got people coming over tonight expecting food. Plus, I’m too wound up, I’m afraid I won’t last.”

“There’s that honesty you always promised me.”

He doesn’t answer. Just enters me in one hard thrust. I cry out and arch my back, the intrusion so delicious.

“Never gets old. You feel so amazing wrapped around me.”

“Perfect.”

“It is.”

I watch his face, how his lips twist. His abs contract and biceps bulge as he lifts my hips to drive in deep, hitting the spot that is so sensitive, it takes me no time at all for my orgasm to overtake me.

Or for his. I would be upset for the speed in which it took, but neither of us could hold off.

He lies next to me, we’re both breathing hard, and he turns his head so he’s looking right at me.

“I do love you. It wasn’t something I said in the heat of the moment.”

“I know. I love you, too.”

Chapter Twenty-Five

Rex

“Are you going to tell them?”I ask her as I pull the beef out of the oven.

Chloe’s house looks like she had stock in twinkle lights and snowmen for how many decorations are scattered around her house. After finding out this morning that she’s pregnant, we spent a few hours in bed then I helped her start preparing the food for tonight’s dinner.
