Hand in hand with her, I stand by the window where the ship’s low altitude offers a view of the Alphas in the courtyard. They part for Sidone, and her Omega joins her. She says goodbye to Arkin last, and I don’t miss the glance she sends up to the ship and her quick wave before she disappears into the gate.
I lead Tamey outside and onto the roof. We stand there, and with her, I feel on top of the world. “When I asked for your hand, it was out of personal interest as well the interests of my people,” I say. “Although, I never expected the gentlest person in the kingdom would become my rock. I am grateful.” I squeeze her hand and send via our bond, “I love you, my princess.”
Tamey’s eyes light up. “I love you too.”
“I’m not an easy male to fall in love with. I have many flaws...”
“And perfections,” Tamey adds.
“Indeed,” I purr.
