Holy shit! So that just happened. Oh. My. God! I walk through the groups of people needing a moment all to myself. Before I make it to the bathroom, someone pulls me into the kitchen and shoves me into a huge pantry.“What the fu-”

The light is flipped on and I’m relieved, but not surprised by who I find standing in front of me.

“Fuck Holly. If Harrison didn’t give me everything I need, and then some, I might have to find me another Steel Dagger. One to have my back while Harrison has my front.” She fans herself and I laugh. She’s so fucking funny.

“Our men pulled us away when Rash started swallowing your face,” Emersen says with a mouth full of food. She has a platter of mini cheesecakes pressed up to her midsection. She’s steadily consuming the little desserts one after the other, and I can’t help but watch in fascination as this little woman puts them away.

“It was so hot though. They let us watch from the deck.”

“You two are insane!” I laugh. “Why are we in the closet, with the cheesecakes?”

“Little momma here is having her first craving, and we needed the details,” Chelsea says, with her own goodies in hand.

“There’s not much to say. You saw what happened.”

“What was going on with Triton?”

I don’t want to lie to them. I’ve been in town less than two weeks and I’ve quickly fallen in love with it. I could see myself settling down and staying here for good. Would it hurt to tell them?

“Triton checked into me. Found out why I’m here, why I need to be paid in cash.”

“I was wondering about that. I think Ryker asked him to do it. He’s very protective of me and the club and wants to be aware of any dangers.”

“Steven isn’t dangerous, at least not to you.”

“Who’s Steven?” Chelsea asks.

“He’s my ex-”

“Your ex?” The girls shout.

“Fiancé.”

“Oh shit.” They say in unison, and all three of us burst into giggles. I don’t know where these two came from, but I know I’ve been missing them for my entire life.

I sigh. “Yeah. It’s not a happy story and I don’t want to get into it right now.”

Chelsea grabs my forearm and looks me in the eyes, all humor gone. “Girl, I know about unhappy shit. I know about being with a man who treats you wrong. That cock sucker you stopped the other night, he was my ex. Look, what I’m trying to say is I’ve been there. You need to talk it out, I’m here. We’re here.”

I grab Chelsea in the biggest hug I’ve ever given anyone since my nana died. “Thank you.” She squeezes me back just as hard. It feels good to have friends I know will be there for me, no matter what.

“Hey! I need love too!” Emersen pouts. Chelsea and I both pull her in. “Group hug!” We all say and burst into giggles.

The door swings open and we all look up to find Ryker, Quinn, Harrison, and Jasper standing there with their arms crossed looking at us like we’re crazy. It’s like a hot, sexy, beefcake buffet standing in front of us, and two of them say I’m theirs.

By the time I’m pulled out of the closet, I’ve laughed so hard I’m crying. I’m sure my makeup is smeared, but I couldn’t care less. I just had one of the best nights, and it’s not even over yet.

Tonight has been exactly what I’ve been missing in my life. Who knew I’d find it in a small town filled with bikers and two of the funniest and sweetest chicks I’ve ever known.

We’ve been sitting around the fire for hours drinking and listening to the guys tell us crazy stories about the Steel Daggers. Ryker, Emersen, Harrison, Chelsea, me, Jasper, and Quinn are the only ones left sitting here. I can tell we’re about to go when I notice Emersen is passed out in Ryker’s lap and Chelsea isn’t far behind her.

Chelsea and Harrison gave me a ride since my car wouldn’t start when I tried it this afternoon. It’s weird since I replaced the battery when I bought it a few months ago.
