‘About bloomin’ time!’ Annie Pottinger’s voice shouted from somewhere in the crowd as a round of clapping and giggling rippled around them in the late afternoon sunshine.

The excitement following the recent return of the Sir Anthony Cheswell Cup is far from over. Following this paper’s social media coverage of the event in action, we were contacted by an anonymous donor wishing to ensure the future of Crumbleton Museum. The resulting six-figure donation will enable the development of the museum as a local historical and community hub over the next five years – under the watchful eye of our much-loved Cath Walker!

Stop Throwing Things At Our Andy!
Andy Morgan would like to respectfully request that everyone stops throwing things at him while he works on the cobbles. He stated that—although the recent trend for tossing confetti at him is a lot less painful than cola cubes, it is quite embarrassing when there are tourists around who aren’t in on the joke, and it gets stuck around the cobbles.
