The walls rattle lightly until a picture shakes free and shatters before I scream out my surreal release. He grunts loudly while following me, and his lips close over mine softer as I tremble beneath the glass-shattering feeling I’m basking in.

“Fuck,” he pants, and then his arm wraps around me to pull me in closer to him.

“I’m sorry I woke you up,” I giggle out, and he lets a bit of a laugh escape through his heavy breaths.

“I’m damn glad I woke up. Come here,” he murmurs, and he pulls me all the closer while covering up our bare bodies with the soft white sheet.

“Can I stay here with you tonight… or what’s left of it?” I ask hopefully.

“Baby, you’re crazy if you think I’d let you go anywhere right now,” he playfully teases.

I smile while snuggling into his soft body, and his naturally cool touch helps to ease the feverish burn on my face as he strokes my cheek.

“I’m not complaining at all, so don’t take this wrong, but what brought all this on?”

Tears try to sting my eyes, but just knowing he’s here for me calms the brewing storm.

“I got my closure,” I mumble, and I feel him breathe out a breath of relief or worry.

“And?” he asks softly.

“And, I know I don’t deserve you, but I just want to be with you right now. I understand if you don’t want me. I just needed to know his and my story was-”

His perfect lips silence my ramble as he inhales me in a kiss. I smile lightly at the rudely wonderful interruption, and his hand jerks my leg around his waist while forcing me to feel his erection.

“I don’t need to know why, baby. I just need to know you’re back,” he murmurs against my lips.

I smile more, and then I nod while saying, “I’m back.”

His smile becomes almost too big, and he just kisses me all the harder while sliding over to be on top of me.

I smile despite the tears still trying to creep out, and his lips claim mine as their captive while he pulls the sheet over our heads. The hotel phone beside the bed rings obnoxiously, and he jumps up to jerk it to his ear.

“Who is this?” he growls, and I ignore his serious overreaction when I start kissing his perfect chest.

He stifles a grin, and then I hear Clay saying, “Brazen, it’s me. Is Araya there?”

I roll my eyes, and then my lips stroll on down to his firm erection. His eyes scold me momentarily until I close my lips over it and begin sucking his sweet taste mingling with my own.

“Captain Mordel?” Clay prompts.

He tightens his lips and rolls his eyes, and my full mouth smiles at his awkward situation as I continue my deep-throat affair.

“Yes. She’s here,” Brazen groans out.

I suck harder, and his breath hitches while his free hand grips my hair. I take him as far as I can until I reach his base, and then I begin slowly drawing back while swirling my tongue around the tip.

“Thank goodness. Hale’s been out looking for her. I was worried she-”

“She’s fine, and she’s perfectly sane… Sort of,” he grumbles, and I smirk a little bigger while thrusting my mouth downward hard enough to make him almost hiss.

“Good. I need you both to come to Seminole. We have a situation, and tomorrow we’ll debrief everyone.”

“I’m on… on detail,” he stammers out when I quicken my motion.

His hand grips tighter to the back of my head to keep me from moving back too far. I feel a little powerful now that I’ve got him in need.

“I know you’re on detail, but it’s no longer a priority. We’ll meet tomorrow morning, but I’d like it if both of you came back tonight.”
