I click the mic in my hand back on, holding it to my lips to address the crowd. “As I was saying. Mr. Byrne and I have decided to marry and are now in negotiations to form a new corporate entity ... Byrne-Long Acquisitions.”

His hand flies over the mic, lowering it out of earshot as he whispers, “Why not Long-Byrne?”

“Why do you think?” I ask, scolding him with my playful expression. The man's hung like a bull. No billboard required.

He grabs the mic, quickly announcing, “And as the future Mrs. Byrne and I have a plane waiting, we need to end the conference now. Please feel free to contact our companies’ media representatives with any questions you may have.”

“Where are you going?” a reporter calls out from the back.

I look at Coop, and his eyes turn decidedly darker with his sexy, devilish grin. Scanning the crowd, I see the bright, beaming smiles of his family. Allison and her mom are teary, and Austin has a consoling hand on Evie’s shoulder, which is probably a good idea to keep her that far away with all the media present. Aiden showcases a staunch military bearing that exudes pride from every angle.

Evie and Jean are absolutely blubbering. Richard’s locked Jaclyn in an embrace, but her tears are just as strong. Dad’s got his arm around Wyatt, and I still can’t believe he’s here.

My only brother forms his hands into a heart over his chest, then blows me the biggest kiss. And now I’m a hot mess of tears and giggles under the frenzy of camera flashes.

Suddenly, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt exactly where we’re going. And it’s perfect.

Grinning broadly, I hold up the mic between us, announcing our destination. “I believe we’re going to Vegas.”

Coop’s arms wrap around me, lifting me clear off the floor to meet the fiery heat of his lips. “And I believe that was a yes,” he whispers to my lips, knowing full well it was.

But he wants me to say it. And as usual, I give in.

“Yes, Liam Cooper Byrne. I’ll marry you.”

With several more kisses and his bright hazel eyes shining at mine, I give him the two words he always has to hear. The promise of a lifetime.

“I’m yours.”
