I stiffen when his hands grab my hips, and he notices the scars on my leg and low on my abdomen. He gently brushes his fingertips over them but doesn’t say anything. I’m grateful the mood isn’t lost.

I line myself up and impale myself on his hard dick, grinding down on him. I quickly find a rhythm that has him rubbing along that perfect spot inside of me. I reach down to my clit, but he beats me there. His stiff thumb rubs me as I ride him. It feels like it only takes seconds before my orgasm starts to build in me.

I ride and grind harder, making filthy noises as I chase my release with Foster rubbing me. Then my vision whites out, and I explode.

Foster holds me through my orgasm, taking over the thrusts from the bottom. When I collapse on him, he rolls us over again. He places my legs on his shoulders and goes hard and fast, chasing his finish. His body goes rigid above me, and I feel him pulse inside of me.

He again rolls off me and pulls me into his side. I lay my head on his chest and listen to him breathe. When we both recover, he gives me a sweet kiss on my forehead and gets up to dispose of the condom before coming back to bed.

“That’s a hell of a way to wake up,” Foster says after we’ve relaxed into each other again. “You, okay?” he asks.

“Perfect,” I answer honestly. Nothing could be better than this. “Sorry, you wasted money on a hotel room no one used.”

He shrugs, “I’m not. This might be a weird time to ask this, but would you go out on a date with me?”

“I don’t date,” I tell him.

He looks down at me in surprise, “Ever?”

“Nope. After the breakups, I was pregnant, so it wasn’t a great time. Then there was the accident and all the recovery time. I’ve gone out with a few guys after that, but that’s it. It’s been years since I’ve been on a date.”

“Would you make an exception for me?”

Do I want to do this again, even though the first time almost destroyed me? It’s hard not to think of Talon and Cole, who played a massive part in our relationship the first time around.

“Yes, I would like that,” I answer him.

“Great,” he jumps out of the bed and scoops me into his arms. “Now, let’s go shower. We have an hour until checkout, and I don’t plan on wasting a single minute of it.”

Chapter 15

These last couple of weeks since the wedding have been extremely busy. Every spare second I’ve spent editing the images for the couple. It should take me one more week to finish them. After a shift at the flower shop and a few hours sitting at my computer, my stomach grunts for food. Neither of the men in this house interrupt me, respecting my need to get this work done.

I decide to brave the kitchen, where Cole is going through the refrigerator. This is the first time I’ve seen him since the cemetery, and he looks rough. His normally styled golden hair is sticking up, the skin under his eyes is puffy and dark, and his body sags in defeat. He doesn’t hear me walk in, and he jumps when he turns and sees me there.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you,” I say to him politely but coldly. He won’t get more from me until he apologizes for his actions. I at least deserve some insight into what’s going through his head. I remember Foster’s words about giving him a break, so I’m not openly hostile.

He grunts and takes a drink from the bottle he pulled out of the fridge, completely ignoring me. I do the same as I rummage through the cupboards, looking for a snack to take up to my room with me. I settle on a bag of chips.

Cole clears his throat, and I look up at him, raising my brow and waiting for him to say whatever is on his mind. “Sorry about how I acted at the cemetery,” he says quietly.

I wait for more but he takes another sip of his drink. “No problem. I practically ambushed you all.”

“It’s not okay, but life is fucked up right now, and I took it out on you. I can’t right now, but I’d like it if we could talk sometime.”

“I would too,” I agree, though I’m not so sure. Part of me wants to walk away from Cole and not look back. I’m not sure I have enough forgiveness left in me for the man.

Talon’s arrival saves me from further awkwardness. “Kitten, I’ve been looking for you.”

I hold out my hands, “here I am.”

He looks between Cole and me, “I see. I have tickets to a concert tonight. A friend’s band is performing in the city. I thought we could go and have a night out. I need to come up for air.”

“Sounds like fun. How much time do I have to get ready?”

“Two hours. Is that enough time?”

I look down at my faded hoodie and sagging sweatpants. “Just enough.”
