“No way,” Marlow says.
“I heard you love drive-ins, but I couldn’t open one on such short notice, so this will have to do.”
She pulls me in for a long kiss and Sutton calls out, “No kissing in the front.”
I wave him off and keep kissing her.
“Did you really propose to me tonight?” she asks a few minutes later. “After only knowing me for a few months?”
“I did. If I could do it over again, I’d ask you the night we met.”
She laughs and kisses me again. “You are rewriting history. You weren’t even close to this lovesick the night we met.”
“Can we get married tomorrow?”
“No.” She giggles. “But I’ll think about it,” she adds. “You are something else, Wyatt Landmark.”
“Something you want to spend the rest of your life with?” I ask.
“Yes,please.”
